Help & Answers

Questions, answered.

Everything we get asked most often — about classes, private events, cancellations, and how Sip & Script came to be. Can't find what you're looking for? Drop us a note below.

01 Classes & cancellations
Can I get a refund?

All sales are final — we don’t offer refunds on tickets. As a one-time courtesy we will transfer your ticket to another class within 60 days as long as you contact us by email at least 24 hours before the event (contact@sipandscript.com).

Groups of 3+ cancelling 24–48 hours before an event may incur a restocking fee. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel due to weather, and you’ll be offered our upcoming schedule to choose a makeup date.

Severe weather: classes cancelled due to weather are rescheduled with the venue. If you can’t attend the new date, we’ll offer store credit for the full ticket value.

Are drinks included?

Drinks aren’t included with most tickets — we keep prices lower by letting you choose your own beverage at the partner venue. It’s our way of supporting the local businesses that host us. If a drink is included for a particular event, the event description will say so clearly.

What happens if it snows on class day?

The same refund & transfer policy above applies to weather cancellations. We reschedule with the venue and offer store credit for the full ticket value if you can’t make the new date.

02 Private events & commissions
Do you do private parties?

Yes — private events are one of our favourite things to host, especially for showers and bachelorettes. We bring all the materials and decor; you bring the seating, snacks, and drinks.

How long does envelope addressing take? Will you address envelopes for my wedding?

About one hour to complete 12–15 envelopes (front side only). We no longer take on custom envelope commissions ourselves, but we’d love to connect you with one of our alumni calligraphers who do — reach out and we’ll make the intro.

03 Resources & the story
Where can I buy the products you use?

We keep a curated list of favourites on our resources page, and our Amazon storefront has more DIY ideas and tools we love.

How did you get started?

The founders met as vendors at The Big Fake Wedding, doing calligraphy on the side. A few Instagram DMs and one coffee later, we ran our first Sip & Script event in December 2015 — a Christmas card addressing party with 50 guests — and never looked back.
